Associate Debt Advisory

Job description

As part of the debt advisory team, you will support a large range of transactions, gaining exposure to a variety of debt products and financing structures, including bank debt/senior loans, second-lien debt, unitranche, mezzanine financing, and flex equity. These structures may be applied across various scenarios, such as growth debt, acquisition financing, refinancing and dividend recap. Cambon Partners requires that Associates assume high levels of responsibility immediately, supporting the process, from the initial meeting with senior management to working closely with senior professionals and supporting the marketing effort of the team all along the process.

More specifically your main responsibilities will be:
• Support the marketing efforts by drafting pitch documents and capital structure ideas
• Support the transaction processes being an entry point for lenders and companies, and ensure an up-to-date reporting and status report
• Modelling and debt structuring – undertake LBO model and associated analyses
• Structure financing options by drafting financing head of terms
• Debt research – coordinate the writing of debt market research and prospecting documents
Qualifications, experience and competencies required

We are looking for individuals with the following skills:
• First experience in debt advisory, leverage finance or M&A (ideally, with significant exposure to LBO transactions)
• Strong financial and accounting knowledge
• Full professional proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
• Understanding of the LBO market and its legal documentation (head of terms, term-sheet, commitment letter and long form documentation)
• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, rigorous
• Fluent in French and English
• The ideal candidate will have an academic track record from a recognized college or university
