As creators of the Drupal Commerce open source e-commerce platform, Commerce Guys develops, implements, and supports Drupal-powered sites for merchants and agencies in the US and Europe. Commerce Guys has long been a leader in the development of e-commerce websites using Drupal, with its flagship Drupal Commerce solutions now used by over 60,000 online merchants worldwide. Commerce Guys has divested its service activities in order to focus on the ongoing development and support of Drupal Commerce under the continued stewardship of Drupal industry figure Ryan Szrama. Drupal Commerce will now be part of an independent company.

Commerce Guys’ European expert services team will be joining France-based digital agency Actualys, while the US operation will combine with leading North American digital agency Acro Media Inc. 

The shareholders of Commerce Guys will use the proceeds of the transaction to focus on their fast growing “continuous development cloud hosting” business which now operates as a separate company under the name Platform.sh. 

The reorganization will allow both products (Platform.sh and Drupal Commerce) to accelerate their development with renewed focus.
