SmartTrade Services sold to Open

Smart Trade Technologies software developer sells Services division to major IT services provider Groupe Open

Smart Trade Services, founded in 2007 and led by Hélène Hodara, is a subsidiary of Smart Trade Technologies and a publisher of software for liquidity management systems. The company provides IT services and consultancy and works directly with the functional departments of banks. Its process-oriented approach and operational excellence have earned it a place among the leaders of Finance IT.

Frédéric Sebag et Guy Mamou-Mani, co-chairmen of Groupe Open: “We are thrilled about this acquisition since it will give us the expertise we need to help major financial institutions succeed in their digital transformation, which is a real challenge for them. We want to accelerate Groupe Open’s growth by strengthening our positions in specific sectors and particularly those that involve the information systems of financial institutions, mainly banks, brokers and asset management firms. Digital technologies are becoming critical in the financial services sector, which think-tank Syntec Numérique considers to be one of the most promising.”

Smart Trade Services will integrate Groupe Open’s Finance business unit, thus giving the latter a comprehensive offering of services that aims for dual expertise in finance and technology. This will give Groupe Open’s Finance BU over 100 employees ready to serve the largest French financial institutions.

Hélène Hodara, CEO of Smart Trade Services: “Joining Groupe Open enables us to contribute our expertise in financial markets to a group that is present throughout the financial services sector and will substantially accelerate our business in all of our markets.”
