Leading autonomous navigation technology developer EasyMile secures €14 million from Alstom

Cambon Partners announces its first 2017 transaction: EasyMile SAS has secured €14 million in its round of equity funding on January 19, 2017. The transaction included participation from Alstom SA (ENXTPA: ALO) which acquired a minority stake and will be represented at the company's board of directors. EasyMile develops and markets the EZ10 electric driverless shuttle and is at the forefront of autonomous driving technology development.

Alstom and EasyMile have signed a commercial partnership agreement to provide integrated solutions for urban transportation.

Founded in 2014, EasyMile is a leading provider of autonomous navigation software and smart mobility solutions. It is headquartered in Toulouse (France), with offices in Singapore and Denver (USA). The company employs a team of 60 people today. EasyMile’s EZ10 vehicle provides shared driverless transportation for the first and last mile. EasyMile’s electric shuttles operate from a transport hub to a final destination within a precinct or confined area. Since April 2015, the EZ10 has been deployed on more than 50 sites in 14 countries across Asia, North-America, the Middle-East and Europe. It is a world leader in its category.

The funds provided by Alstom will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and its product development. Additionally, EasyMile will benefit from Alstom’s network to increase its global reach.
