French start-up raises $100 million for its visual creation tool for e-retailers

Nfinite raises $100 million for its large-scale, high-quality visual creation solution for e-commerce players. This Series B round, announced on the 7th of June 2022, was led in the US by investment fund Insight Partners and with the participation of USVP.

The start-up, founded in Bordeaux in 2017, develops a turnkey solution for creating visuals from a 3D product model. The solution, which takes the form of a SaaS platform, allows e-tailers to create, display and manage an unlimited number of product visuals. This creation of visuals is done through an interface based on CGI (computergenerated imagery) technology, from 3D models.

It is possible to create one's own library of assets with the 3D modelling of one's products. Nfinite allows you to create your space by choosing all your decorations, or to choose some among the proposed visuals and adjust it according to your needs. The visual creation tool replaces photo shoots, which are expensive and complex to carry out.

Nfinite is positioned in the e-commerce sector, which will grow by 50% over the next four years to reach sales of 7.4 trillion dollars, according to Statista. The start-up claims to have three of the top five global retail players among its clients, as well as clients such as Carrefour, Leroy Merlin, La Redoute and Conforama. The company claims a 10-fold increase in revenues by 2021.

Thanks to this financial contribution, Nfinite wants to accelerate the marketing of its solution by developing its marketing and sales operations. The start-up also intends to develop its engineering operations and build a community of 3D specialists for commerce. As for the future, Nfinite is already looking at the potential of the metaverse.
