Stuart investment from GeoPost

Stuart, a growing player in on-demand courier delivery, secures €22 million from GeoPost

To support its investment in Resto In, La Poste subsidiary GeoPost is also funding the development of Stuart, a French startup that makes ultra-express urban deliveries. Founded in late 2014 by Resto In’s management, Stuart has developed a mobile application for businesses and shops that need to get something delivered very quickly to a specific address.

Using the Stuart app, customers will be delivered by a professional courier in less than one hour.

The La Poste’s group’s minority stake will enable it to test the "urgent urban delivery" market, which is complementary to the group’s postal distribution logistics.

Investing in Resto In and Stuart gives La Poste group a partner that is committed to developing innovative urgent courier services and which like La Poste is determined to develop a responsible business model for this segment of the logistics market. This model should make it possible to combine technological progress and improved service for customers, lower logistics costs for businesses and better employment conditions for couriers. It should enable La Poste to make a contribution to its larger project of developing a more socially responsible model for the logistics sectors.
