CBS Interactive France, the French publisher of ZDNet, CNET France and Gamekult, was taken over by its management which subsequently sold a stake to FLCP, a Media PE fund headed by Fabrice Larue, which becomes the majority shareholder by a slight margin.
The sale to FLCP, which also has a stake in the press agency Capa, was made for an undisclosed sum. Management had bought out CBS Interactive France when its U.S. parent CBS Interactive restructured its operations and decided to divest. The company was renamed CUP Interactive, after the three managers’ initials. Advised by Cambon Partners, they had bought out all of CBS Interactive France’s equity from its parent in December 2014.
