Axiome sold to Axelliance Group

Axelliance Groupe expands its group health insurance offering to complement its P&C offer

Axiome, founded in 1992, is an insurance broker that provides tailor-made group insurance solutions and services to over 15,000 SME and large institutional clients. Its subsidiary Squadra, is a wholesale insurance broker with some 1,000 agents who serve mainly the group health insurance sector.

By acquiring Axiome and Squadra, Axelliance Groupe, which already sells insurance both directly and indirectly, affirms its position as a leading player in the French market with a comprehensive offering that includes both property & casualty and life & health insurance. With 250 employees based mainly in Paris and Lyon, Axelliance Groupe will post annual revenue in 2015 of approximately €55 million with over €300 million in premiums collected.

With a network of over 6,000 broker-partners and 20,000 clients, the common ambition of Axiome and Axelliance is to address the industry’s evolving requirements by “transitioning from insurance policies to service contracts”. This will require three things — “innovation through ongoing investment in the digitization of the customer relationship; strict observance of our obligations to our clients and partner companies; and transparency by simplifying services and creating new ones for our clients.”

Pascal Campourcy, Co-chairman of Axelliance Groupe: “Vivens and Squadra provide complementary insurance solutions and share highly innovative and differentiating underwriting tools that will enable our brokers to be more productive and increase their profit margins, while having access to the latest digital solutions.”

Nicolas Tardif, Chairman of Axiome and Squadra: “With Axelliance we find the same spirit of innovation and search of excellence that we have always promoted, to serve our clients more effectively. We are certain that our alliance will enable us to progress.” Nicolas Tardif will also actively oversee the transformation project as Axelliance Groupe’s CEO and a shareholder.
