Synodiance sold to My Media

SEO and search marketing expert sold to My Media, creating the largest SEO company in France

Founded by Christophe Rozuel in 1999, Synodiance’s business is search marketing on desktop and mobile platforms to generate sustained high quality traffic for its clients. From its offices in Paris and Nantes, Synodiance rapidly gained such prime clients as Guerlain, Cegetel, Decathlon, LVMH and SFR. Its acquisition by My Media, an independent media agency founded in 2005 by Anthony Ravau and David Ringrave, will beef up the latter’s SEO capabilities with the expertise of Synodiance‘s 40 employees in addition to those of My Media’s SEO subsidiary Search Foresight. The latter company, which was founded in 2012 by Philippe Yonnet, also offers consultancy services in search marketing and sustainable SEO strategy.

My Media’s new size will facilitate the management of global-scale projects, such as its current project for Louis Vuitton. The company forecasts a gross operating margin of €20 million for 2016, with total staff of 130 employees, with expertise in media buying, SEO, ad creation and local space buying.

Philippe Yonne - who will manage the new entity, which Anthony Ravau considers to be “strategic" for My Media’s growth: "We are going to be able to provide a highly structured response to our clients‘ SEO requirements, whereas our main competitors can simply claim to have an SEO department that is part of very general service offering. Digital agencies have gradually stopped focusing on SEO, allowing it to blend into larger departments and sacrificing it for the benefit of more profitable services. And yet SEO is a highly technical field that must be dealt with by dedicated teams of experts.“

Anthony Ravau, My Media‘s founder and chairman: "We work with over 30% of the top 50 French websites, which makes us the undisputed de facto leader in SEO in France. Media buying and SEO are two key marketing channels and are complementary."
