Having grown up in an environment immersed in finance, I developed an early interest in the field. This led me to study at a business school with a specialization in finance, while completing several internships to explore the wide range of careers that corporate finance has to offer.
I began with a first internship in Transaction Services, which gave me a solid grounding in financial analysis, before joining the M&A department of a large corporation the following year. Building on these two experiences, I decided to move closer to investment banking, and spent the first term of my gap year at a Parisian boutique specialized in new technologies.
It was during this period that I discovered one of the most rewarding dimensions of the profession: advising entrepreneurs of fast-growing companies on their financing and exit transactions. In order to broaden my perspective and compare different paths, I also chose to explore private equity during the second term of my gap year, with the aim of making a fully informed decision about my first full-time role.
This experience ultimately reinforced my conviction that beginning my career in investment banking offered the best opportunity to develop a broad skill set and grow within a demanding and stimulating environment. When the time came, I applied to Cambon Partners for my final-year internship, as it was one of the firms that most closely aligned with my vision of the profession. The London office welcomed me for this internship, and I subsequently decided to launch my career there as an analyst.
