Laurent Azout

I began my career at Société Générale in the Acquisition Financing department, before joining Lazard in 2004 as part of the Media team in Paris. In 2011, I decided to join Messier Maris & Associés, which had just been formed, where I took over  responsibility for the TMT sector.

Over the past 15 years, I have been involved in more than 80 transactions, and have gained an extensive expertise in the digital space, E-commerce and Enterprise Software sectors by handling the sale of several French Internet success stories including Newsweb, Betclic, Doctissimo, Companeo, Allociné, Dailymotion  and CCM Benchmark. I have also participated in numerous deals involving the largest media, telecoms and e-commerce groups and the leading private equity firms in France and internationally.

I decided to join David and his team here at Cambon in 2016 because we share the same values and the same approach of our job:

- we provide tailor-made advice considering the specificities of each transaction, with a continuous senior involvement and great professionalism in executing the missions granted by our clients
- we have a profound sense of responsibility, since we are helping our clients and their companies at crucial moments in their lives
- we commit to provide honest and frank advice with a promise to support our clients throughout the lengthly process
- we are taking our work very seriously, yet without taking ourselves too seriously, which is something that both our clients and coworkers can appreciate!

My goal, and that of my colleagues here at Cambon Partners, is to establish the reference M&A house for digital and growth companies in France, while expanding our presence globally. It is an exciting entrepreneurial project that I am proud to be a part of.

Our clients are not afraid to take risks, and I have also developed a certain taste for risk-taking. This is something I believe I have acquired from the entrepreneurs I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with.
