Cimes sold to Cegos

Groupe Cegos acquires the French leader in externalized professional training management

Cimes, the French leader in externalized professional training management and apprenticeships, joins Europe’s leading professional training provider. Both groups have the common goal of adding value to their clients whilst retaining their respective identities.

Founded in 1993, Cimes now has 140 employees who each year organize training courses for 270 000 people, and apprenticeships for 8 000 in companies with 300 to 150 000 employees. With its pioneering approach, Cimes is the market leader in administrative, logistic and financial training processes, with revenues of €10 million in 2016.

This new stage in the company’s development will allow the company to:

- Accelerate the development of its business and offers, targeting major clients

- Engage with international clients and prospects, with the group’s Managed Training Services teams presenting a unique deployment opportunity

- Benefit from Cegos’ expertise in “blended learning”, integrating the digital

The company will continue to operate autonomously. The current management will stay in place, with CEO Frank Morcant overseeing the transition over the coming months. Cimes’ brand and excellent reputation will be upheld.

This transition represents the consolidation of Cegos’ position as “Global Learning and Development Partner”. By strengthening its position in the externalized training management sector, Cegos is able to complete its offer and improve “client experience”. Cimes was previously owned in part (45%) by the fund Ardens III, managed by Apicap, which accompanied the company’s development for 4 years.
